Bahasa Melayu, Bahasa Indonesia

Pendidikan Matematik dan Sains dalam bahasa Inggeris dalam proses peralihan semula ke bahasa Melayu. Sekejap bahasa Melayu, sekejap bahasa Inggeris. Orang-orang yang menangguk di air keruh yang mencetak buku-buku untuk sekolah-sekolah sajalah yang untung. Nampaknya begitulah. Cuma, saya tak berminat nak meluahkan perasaan tentang itu, sebaliknya ada perihal lain yang lebih utama. Saya bandingkan dengan Indonesia.

Indonesia

  1. Bangsa Indonesia mendapatkan kemerdekaan dari Belanda dengan pertumpahan darah. Mereka merdeka dengan kekuatan kudrat, titik peluh dan titik darah mereka. Mereka bertegas untuk menjadikan bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa rasmi, bahasa kedaulatan tanah air mereka.
  2. Orang luar yang datang ke Indonesia, mesti bertutur dalam bahasa Indonesia. Hasilnya, percambahan ilmu di Indonesia juga mengikut acuan bahasa Indonesia. Mana-mana perkataan luar seperti bahasa Inggeris akan disebut dalam loghat Indonesia.
  3. Hari ini, Indonesia tidak mengalami konflik bahasa dalam pendidikan kerana mereka kekal dengan bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa induk, dan perkataan-perkataan tambahan dari bahasa Inggeris itu ialah cebisan-cebisan yang  melengkapkan ungkapan dan bicara.
  4. Dengan kata lain, bangsa Indonesia bertutur dan belajar dalam bahasa Ibundanya sendiri yang mengalami proses penambahan perkataan dari bahasa lain sejajar dengan masa.

Malaysia

  1. Malaysia merdeka melalui rundingan. Ada banyak perkara yang perlu dipersetujui dengan Inggeris walaupun ianya jelas bakal merosakkan negara, malah mendatangkan aib.
  2. Malaysia mengguna pakai dua bahasa, bahasa Melayu dan bahasa Inggeris. Hasilnya Dewan Bahasa Dan Pustaka (DBP) yang menanggung susahnya. DBP menerbitkan banyak bahasa luar yang di-Melayukan demi memartabatkan bahasa Melayu berbanding bahasa lain, dan selaras dengan arus masa. Namun, dengan adanya bahasa Inggeris, perkataan-perkataan luar yang di-Melayukan ini tidak diguna pakai.
  3. Lebih parah lagi, rakyat Malaysia berbahasa rojak. Dalam satu ayat, bercampur-campur bahasa Melayu dan Inggeris.
  4. Lebih parah lagi, ia mempengaruhi sistem pendidikan.

Kesimpulannya:

Jangan salahkan bahasa Melayu tidak molek sebagai perantara mempelajari Matematik dan Sains. Jika pemimpin-pemimpin di Malaysia berjiwa merdeka, ada satu langkah yang lebih berkesan:

  1. Isytihar bahasa kebangsaan di Malaysia hanyalah Bahasa Melayu (tunggal). Tiada bahasa kedua, gugurkan Bahasa Inggeris dari bahasa kedua di Malaysia.
  2. Hasilnya ialah untuk generasi akan datang. Biar generasi akan datang hanya mengenal bahasa Inggeris sebagai perkataan tambahan (cebisan kecil) dalam pertuturan. Bukan suatu bahasa yang utama.
  3. Begitulah yang dilakukan oleh bangsa Indonesia dan bangsa J*p** (satu bangsa yang negaranya pernah dibom dengan bom Atom. Saya tak berminat menyebutkan namanya. Sebab saya tak suka bangsa J*p**).
  4. Dengan ungkapan yang lebih mudah. Untuk memajukan Bahasa Melayu, kita perlu meletakkan Bahasa Melayu sebagai keutamaan dalam bidang pendidikan dan pentadbiran, dalam masa yang sama meletakkan Bahasa Inggeris sebagai bahasa yang sama taraf dengan bahasa lain di Malaysia seperti Bahasa Cina, Tamil, Jawa, Banjar, Iban, Peghok dan Jakun.
  5. Saya cenderung mengatakan ia boleh berjaya.

iPod touch 8GB, RM779

Gajet yang menarik tapi berdasarkan harganya perlulah diletakkan beberapa syarat sebelum membelinya. Pengeluar (Apple) mestilah menawarkan produk yang memikat hati, barulah produk boleh laku. Untuk orang lain saya tak tahu, tapi bagi saya, saya letakkan satu syarat sahaja. Saya mahukan 200 aplikasi PERCUMA.

Jadi, buat masa ni saya sedang dalam kerja-kerja memuat turun aplikasi percuma dari App Store (dari Apple) ke iTunes. Jika jumlahnya dapat capai 200 dan ianya bukan aplikasi yang membosankan, saya akan beli. Jika cuma ada 199.9 sahaja, saya takkan beli. :)

Mac OS X Mail

Configure Mail:

  1. Open Mail
  2. At the top left, choose Mail > Preferences…
    mail pref
  3. Open Account tab, and click  on plug sign (+) along the bottom to add a new account
  4. Open Account Information tab

  5. Insert your email address, Incoming Mail Server, User Name & Password
  6. Click on Server Settings…, and insert your Outgoing Mail Server

Network Utility

The most easiest way to Ping
and Traceroute.

Step 1: Open Network Utility

Open Finder > Applications > Utilities, and then open Network Utility

Step 2: Ping

  1. Open Ping tab
  2. Enter the network address to ping
  3. Clik Ping
  4. To stop, click Stop.

Step 3: Traceroute

  1. Open Traceroute tab
  2. Enter the network address to trace
  3. Clik Trace
  4. To stop, click Stop.

Connecting to the Internet using Ethernet

Before you get start, make sure the router is Turn On, and network cable between the router and a Mac are connected.

Connecting to network

  1. At the top left corner, choose Apple > System Preferences…, and then select Network
  2. From Show pop up menu, select Built-in Ethernet
  3. Open the TCP/IP tab. From pop up menu, select Using DHCP
  4. Then insert DNS Servers address;
    For Singnet user: 165.21.83.88
    For Streamyx user: 202.188.0.133

  5. Open the Ethernet tab. From pop up menu, select Automatically

  6. Click Apply Now
  7. Open Safari & surf.

If can’t work;

(Use the proxy server)

  1. At the top left, choose Safari menu > Preferences…
  2. Open the Advanced tab, click on Change Settings…
  3. Tick on Web Proxy (HTTP)
  4. In Web Proxy Server column, key-in proxy address & port number
    For Singnet user: proxy.singnet.com.sg : 8080

  5. Click Apply Now
  6. Open Safari & surf.

If still can’t work;

(Prepare to configure the router)

  1. At the top left corner, choose Apple > System Preferences…, and then select Network
  2. From Show pop up menu, select Built-in Ethernet

  4. Back to Safari, choose Safari menu > Preferences…
  5. Open the Advanced tab, click on Change Settings…

  8. Back to Safari, then key-in Router address to access the router page

Connecting to the Internet using AirPort

If you’re not yet connected or;
Unable to get connected as per normal, this step by step should works.

Step 1: Make sure that AirPort is On

  1. Open Finder > Applications > Internet Connect
  2. Click AirPort, and make sure that the dialog shows that AirPort is on. If it’s off, click Turn AirPort On
  3. Tick on Show AirPort status in menu bar
  4. Close Internet Connect

Step 2: Connecting to wireless network

  1. At the top left corner, choose Apple > System Preferences…, and then select Network
  2. From Show pop up menu, select AirPort
  3. Open the AirPort tab. From pop up menu, select Preferred networks
  4. Select your network, and then click Edit

  5. Choose your Wireless Security from pop up menu, then key -in it’s Password. Hit OK.

  6. Open TCP/IP tab. Then insert DNS Servers address;
    For Singnet user: 165.21.83.88

  7. Click Apply Now
  8. Open Safari & surf.

If can’t work;

(Try to Off/On the AirPort)

  1. At the top right, choose AirPort, then choose Turn AirPort Off
  2. Choose AirPort again, then choose Turn AirPort On
  3. Choose AirPort again, then select your network
  4. Open Safari & surf.

If still can’t work;

(Use the proxy server)

  1. At the top left, choose Safari menu > Preferences…
  2. Open the Advanced tab, click on Change Settings…
  3. Tick on Web Proxy (HTTP)
  4. In Web Proxy Server column, key-in proxy address & port number
    For Singnet user: proxy.singnet.com.sg : 8080

  6. Open Safari & surf.

If still can’t work;

If you’re not yet connected or;
Unable to get connected as per normal, this step by step should works.

Step 1: Make sure that AirPort is On

  1. At the top left corner, choose Apple > System Preferences…, and then select Network
  2. Make sure AirPort is On
  3. If it’s off, select AirPort & click Turn AirPort On
  4. Tick on Show AirPort status in menu bar

Step 2: Connecting to wireless network

  1. From Network Name, select your network
  2. If computer ask for Security detail, select your network security from pop-up menu
  3. Key-in your network Password, then click OK
  4. Click Apply
  5. Open Safari & surf.

  1. At the top right, choose AirPort, then choose Turn AirPort Off
  2. Choose AirPort again, then choose Turn AirPort On
  3. Choose AirPort again, then select your network

  1. At the top left, choose Safari menu > Preferences…

(Step by step for Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard & Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard)

In this situation, 3G Phone act as a Modem & Router. It’s connecting to the Internet and share it with Mac wirelessly using Bluetooth Personal Area Network.

Step 1: Setting up 3G Phone (Example: Sony Ericsson C902 & Celcom 3G)

  1. Choose Menu > Settings > Internet Settings, and then select Connect using:
  2. Choose Options > Create New, and then select PS data.
  3. Name: Celcom 3G Internet
  4. APN: celcom3g
  5. Save.
  6. Move cursor to Celcom 3G Internet, then choose Options > Edit.
  7. Move cursor to Proxy settings, Edit.
  8. Move cursor to Proxy servers, Edit.
  9. Select HTTP, and then move cursor to Proxy address, Edit.
  10. Key-in 10.128.1.242
  11. Save.
  12. Move cursor to Port, Edit
  13. Key-in 8080
  14. Save
  15. Back 4 times, and then select Celcom 3G Internet. Done.

Step 2: Turn Bluetooth On (Both – 3G phone & Mac)

  1. For Sony Ericsson C902; Choose Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Bluetooth, and then select Turn On
  2. For Mac; at the top left, choose Apple > System Preferences…, and then select Bluetooth
  3. Tick the check box On & Discoverable

  4. Tick the check box, Show Bluetooth status in the menu bar

  5. Close System Preferences.

Step 3: Pairing Mac & 3G Phone using Bluetooth

  1. At the top right, select Bluetooth > Set up Bluetooth Device… shapeimage_1
  1. Bluetooth Setup Assistant should appear. Click Continue
  2. Select Device Type; select Any device, and then click Continue
  3. Choose your Mobile Phone, then click Continue
  4. Follow screen instruction till finish.

Step 4: Connect to Network

  1. At the top right, select Bluetooth > your Device (3G Phone) > Connect to Network
  2. To check connection status; choose Apple > System Preferences… > Network.
  3. Bluetooth PAN should appear in green color; Connected.
